Almond Flour Brownies

These brownies are gluten-free and dairy-free but don't lack in flavor. They're perfect to bring for get together because they are suitable for a variety of diets.

Ingredients

  • 1 flax egg (1 tbsp faxseed + 3 tbsp water)
  • 1/2 cup almond butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp almond milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup vegan chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • Make the flax egg. Combine 3 tbsp warm water and 1 tbsp flaxseed in small bowl and set aside.
  • Mix all the wet ingredients together (almond butter, maple syrup, almond milk, vanilla extract) except the flax egg. When the flax egg has set for 5 minutes and has thickened up, add it to the wet mixture and mix.
  • Add in all the dry ingredients except chocolate chips to the wet mixture. Mix well.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into lined loaf pan. Bake 30-35 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool on wire rack and enjoy!
