Vegan Dark Chocolate Truffles

If you’re looking for a decadent chocolate non-dairy treat, these truffles are perfect! They satisfy your chocolate craving and you would never guess they are dairy-free and vegan. The coconut cream gives a creamy finish to these truffles that replaces the need for milk and they are rich enough to eat just a few. If you want to make these sugar-free, you can use sugar-free chocolate chips.

These are super simple to make, just make sure you leave enough time for the chocolate to cool in the fridge. This step is necessary to be able to form the chocolate into balls.

Ingredient Notes

Vegan chocolate chips- To make sure these are dairy-free and vegan, you need vegan chocolate chips. I like using Enjoy Life Dark Chocolate Chips or Hu No Added Sugar Chocolate Chips.

Coconut cream – This is what makes the truffles so decadent. You could also use the solid part of coconut milk instead.

Cacao powder – This is optional but I love how this looks on the truffles. You could also roll the truffles in chopped nuts, hemp hearts or coconut flakes.

Instructions

  1. Melt coconut cream in medium saucepan over low heat.
  2. Add in chocolate chips and vanilla and stir until just melted. Take off heat.
  3. Transfer chocolate mixture to shallow dish and cool in fridge for 1-2 hours.
  4. Once mixture is cooled, form into 16 balls. Roll balls in cacao powder.
  5. Chill and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can roll the truffles in whatever you prefer. Some options are chopped nuts, hemp hearts or coconut flakes.

Storing Instructions

Store truffles in an air tight container in the fridge for up to a week or in the freezer for several months.
